PENSIONER CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE RAPES AND CHILD SEX OFFENCES
A pensioner has been accused of multiple rapes and of committing sexual offences against children.He has appeared in court and been released on conditional bail but has not yet entered pleas to the charges.
Hubert Placide, 68, also known as Wadha, of Cardiff, has been charged with four counts of rape, meeting a child following grooming, sexual assault of a female and gross indecency with a child.
He has appeared at Cardiff Magistrates Court and been remanded on bail.
A spokesperson from South Wales Police said specially trained officers from the force’s Child Protection Investigation Unit were supporting the alleged victims and enquiries are ongoing.
Placide is due to appear again at Cardiff Crown Court on December 8.
