HOWARD FLYNN FROM BIGGIN HILL SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AT MIDDLESEX GUILDSHALL
In a recent and serious case brought before the courts, Howard Flynn, a 32-year-old resident of Acer Road in Biggin Hill, was found guilty of possessing and making indecent images of minors under the age of 16.The charges stemmed from an incident that was brought to light during an investigation into illegal online activities.
Flynn's arrest and subsequent court proceedings took place at Horseferry Road Magistrates' Court in August.
During the hearing, he admitted to the charges of creating and possessing child exploitation images, a crime that has severe legal consequences.
His employment history was also affected by these allegations, as he was suspended indefinitely from his role as a cadet leader at St John Ambulance, an organization known for its volunteer emergency services.
Additionally, Flynn held the position of vice-chairman at Bromley Canoe Club, a local recreational organization, but this position was also terminated following the discovery of his offenses.
Following the initial court appearance, the case was transferred to Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court for sentencing.
On the subsequent Friday, Judge Henry Blacksell delivered a stern judgment, sentencing Flynn to six months in prison.
The judge also imposed an extended license period of 18 months upon Flynn’s release, meaning he will be under supervision for an extended period to prevent further offenses.
Furthermore, Flynn was ordered to register as a sex offender for a duration of seven years, a standard legal requirement for individuals convicted of such crimes.
