A mother has decided to leave her nine children and her partner of 23 years after she met a man online.Heidi, aged 44, left her family to be with her Gambian lover, Mamadou Jallow, also 44.
She claims her marriage was already over before she ran off, and she considers Mamadou a nice man.
Andy Hepworth, Heidi's husband, who has been with her since the 1990s and served four years in the navy, expressed his devastation and anger, stating: 'The person she has become is horrible.
She was a loving, caring mum.
Now it’s like an alien has possessed her body.' Andy added that Heidi started to change her behavior after talking to strangers on Facebook in March, getting tattoos, booking sunbeds, and going out frequently.
She abandoned her family last month, leaving the UK for the first time in her life, and has left her children behind.
Heidi, meanwhile, sees her future with Mamadou and says her children understand her decision, though she does miss them.
The couple married five years ago, but Heidi now considers their marriage over and intends to seek a divorce.
