CHRISTOPHER ALAN JAMES FROM HETTON-LE-HOLE ADMITS CHILD SEX OFFENCES
A man from Hetton-le-Hole has pleaded guilty to two serious child sexual offences following a hearing at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court.Christopher Alan James appeared in court on 17 October 2025, where he admitted engaging in sexual communication with a child and causing a child aged 13 to 15 to watch or look at an image of sexual activity while being an adult offender aged 18 or over.
The case was brought forward by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) after an investigation into James’s online conduct.
Following his guilty pleas, James was granted unconditional bail pending sentencing.
The case has been adjourned until 17 November 2025, when he is due to appear at Newcastle Crown Court for sentencing.
The adjournment allows time for pre-sentence reports to be prepared to help the court determine an appropriate penalty.
