HASSAN ALSAADI FROM KINGSTON UPON THAMES CONVICTED OF SEXUAL ASSAULT NEAR GATWICK AIRPORT

A man named Hassan Alsaadi, aged 33 and formerly residing in Kingston Hill, Kingston upon Thames, has been found guilty of a serious sexual assault that took place near Gatwick Airport. The incident unfolded on the evening of November 14, 2022, when Alsaadi, who was hiding in the bushes close to the south terminal's smoking area, approached a lone woman in a dark, secluded part of the airport grounds.

According to court records, the assault occurred around 7:45 pm, during which Alsaadi subjected the woman to unwanted sexual contact without her consent. The victim, whose bravery in coming forward was commended by law enforcement, recounted the distressing experience, which ultimately led to a police investigation.

On January 19, the court convicted Alsaadi of sexual assault by touching. Following the verdict, he was sentenced to serve five months in prison. The court also mandated that he register as a sex offender for a period of seven years, a measure intended to monitor his activities and prevent further offenses.

Furthermore, Alsaadi was placed under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. This order requires him to disclose his criminal conviction to any future partner, ensuring transparency and awareness of his past conduct. Detective Constable Kirstie Prentice, who led the investigation, praised the victim’s courage and emphasized the police’s dedication to taking sexual assault allegations seriously, highlighting the importance of victims coming forward to seek justice.
