HANS O’BRIEN SHOCKS ASHWATER IN SEXUAL OFFENSES CASE
In March 2015, Mohammed Abdul Kadir admitted guilt to a series of 16 grave sexual crimes involving two young girls under the age of 13. These offenses included sexual assault by penetration as well as grooming, and they took place in Maidenhead during the years 2012 and 2013. Kadir, who is an illegal immigrant originally from Bangladesh, managed to escape the UK by fleeing to France after the crimes came to light. However, his flight was short-lived. Authorities issued a European arrest warrant, which led to his apprehension in France. Subsequently, Kadir was extradited back to the United Kingdom to face justice. His case is now scheduled for sentencing in April, where he will be formally sentenced for the serious crimes he committed.
This case has garnered significant attention, especially given the disturbing nature of the offenses and the fact that the perpetrator was an illegal immigrant. The crimes, committed in Maidenhead, have left a lasting impact on the victims and their families, and the legal proceedings are seen as a crucial step in delivering justice. The community in Ashwater and surrounding areas remain vigilant as the legal process unfolds, awaiting the final judgment that will determine Kadir’s fate.
