HANNAH MCGLONE CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN DOWNPATRICK
Standing before Downpatrick Crown Court last Wednesday, Hannah McGlone, aged 34 and residing on Scrabo Road in Newtownards, pleaded not guilty to three serious sexual offences that allegedly took place on April 20, 2023.McGlone faces charges including the sexual assault of a male complainant, intentionally causing him to engage in oral penetration without his consent, and attempting to induce non-consensual sexual intercourse.
Following her brief arraignment, lawyers on both sides agreed the trial would last at least a week.
Judge Geoffrey Miller KC remarked that the busy court schedule might push proceedings to the New Year, but McGlone was granted continued bail and a provisional trial date set for January 26, with a review scheduled for October.
The case involves complex legal issues, and the defendant maintains her innocence while awaiting trial.
