NORTHOLT PAEDOPHILE HAFIZ AZIZUR REHMAN PIRZADA SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX ABUSE

Hafiz Azizur Rehman Pirzada, a man entrusted with the responsibility of privately teaching the Quran to two young girls, has been convicted of multiple serious sexual offences. The case has shocked the local community in Northolt, where Pirzada resided on Laughton Road, and has brought to light the disturbing abuse of trust by someone in a position of religious authority.

According to court records, Pirzada, aged 76 at the time of sentencing, exploited his role as an imam to commit heinous acts against two vulnerable girls aged between nine and 11 years old. These girls, who had initially sought his guidance for religious education, found themselves victims of his predatory behavior. Their bravery in coming forward and sharing their traumatic experiences with police was instrumental in bringing him to justice.

The allegations against Pirzada came to light in 2015, prompting a thorough investigation by law enforcement authorities. The police launched a year-long inquiry into the allegations, which culminated in his arrest at his Northolt residence in July 2016. During the subsequent trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court, Pirzada faced multiple charges, including seven counts of sexual assault of a child and two counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity.

Following the trial, the court found Pirzada guilty of nine offences related to child abuse. The judge sentenced him to eight years in prison, a punishment that reflects the severity of his crimes. Additionally, Pirzada will be registered on the Sex Offenders' Register for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities and restrictions on his contact with minors.
