MAN JAILED FOR MAKING AND DISTRIBUTING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN

A man from Bradford has received a prison sentence after being found guilty of creating and sharing indecent images of minors.

Authorities were alerted through information provided by another police force, which indicated the existence of group chats on a private messaging platform.

In these chats, several individuals exchanged indecent images involving children.

Guiseppe Bottone, aged 29 and residing on Stone Street in Bradford, was identified as a participant in these conversations and was found to be in possession of such material.

Subsequently, officers from the Bradford District’s Online Child Abuse Investigation Team carried out a search warrant at Bottone’s home, leading to his arrest and the confiscation of various electronic devices.

During the investigation, a significant number of images were recovered.

Bottone faced multiple charges, including three counts of producing indecent images of children, two counts of sharing such images, and one count of possessing extreme pornography.

On 22 January, he appeared before Bradford Crown Court, where he was sentenced to serve 27 months in prison.

He was also ordered to register as a sex offender for ten years, instructed to adhere to a ten-year sexual harm prevention order, and required to pay a victim surcharge of £228.
