GRZEGORZ ALEKSANDROWICZ SHOCKS FLINT WITH CHILD SEX ABUSE IMAGES
In March 2018, authorities in Flint uncovered a disturbing case involving Grzegorz Aleksandrowicz, a man whose mobile phone contained a significant collection of indecent images depicting young boys. The incident came to light after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at his residence. During the investigation, Aleksandrowicz's partner disclosed that he possessed and viewed illicit images of children on his phone, raising serious concerns about his behavior. It was further alleged that Aleksandrowicz had reacted with laughter upon viewing a film depicting a girl being raped. Witnesses reported that he would often isolate himself in a room to look at images of boys being abused, suggesting a pattern of disturbing interests. The authorities examined his mobile device thoroughly, but no footage of female sexual assault was discovered. Instead, they found over 70 indecent images of boys, ranging in age from five to twelve, along with 18 images classified as prohibited material.
The 33-year-old defendant, who was residing at Earl Street in Flint at the time, but was temporarily staying with friends at Ffordd Llewelyn in the same town, admitted to downloading and possessing the illicit images. His plea led to a sentence of eight months in prison, which was suspended for two years. Additionally, Aleksandrowicz was ordered to complete 60 days of rehabilitation and was mandated to register as a sex offender for the next ten years.
During the hearing at Mold Crown Court, Mr. Recorder Simon Mills emphasized the importance of safeguarding children, especially given Aleksandrowicz’s lack of a permanent address. The judge expressed concern about the potential risk posed by the defendant, who reportedly suffers from mental health issues and alcohol problems. He stated that Aleksandrowicz’s presence at a residence with young children would be inappropriate and potentially dangerous.
It was also revealed that Aleksandrowicz and his partner remained together, living temporarily with friends until they could secure housing association accommodation. The court noted that the defendant refused to discuss or even acknowledge the images during police interviews, refusing to view them again. Despite denying any sexual interest in children, Aleksandrowicz expressed remorse for his actions, which the judge considered when determining the sentence.
Prosecutor Jade Tufail explained that police responded to a domestic incident involving Aleksandrowicz and his partner in April. Although no charges resulted from that particular incident, the partner informed authorities that Aleksandrowicz had been accessing child sex abuse images. He reportedly watched a film of a five-year-old girl being raped and laughed in the presence of his partner. The police investigation uncovered images involving boys aged between five and twelve, which Aleksandrowicz had viewed in private, often going into a bedroom alone to do so. The court’s findings underscored the severity of the case and the ongoing concern for the safety of children in the community.
