A FIFE MAN WHO ADMITTED ATTEMPTING TO PERSUADE A 12-YEAR-OLD GIRL TO SEND HIM PICTURES OF HERSELF IN A STATE OF UNDRESS HAS BEEN PLACED UNDER SUPERVISION FOR TWO YEARS.
Greg Cessford, who resides on Allan Street in Leslie, appeared before Sheriff James Williamson at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.
The 22-year-old Cessford admitted to a sexual offence involving a 12-year-old girl, which occurred at his residence between April 27, 2020, and May 27, 2020.
He acknowledged that he caused the girl to view a sexual image during this period.
Additionally, Cessford admitted to sending explicit messages to the same girl via Snapchat within the same timeframe.
During these communications, he attempted to persuade her to send him pictures of herself without clothing.
Sheriff Williamson sentenced Cessford to a two-year period of supervision through a Community Payback Order and also mandated his registration on the Sex Offenders Register for two years.
