GRAHAM NORRIS FROM WALNEY SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF BOYS IN PRESTON
In April 2006, Graham Norris, a 61-year-old man residing in Biggar Village, Walney, was sentenced to two years in prison after being convicted of multiple sexual offenses involving young boys.Norris had engaged in a series of depraved acts, grooming two boys by offering them alcohol, sweets, and pornographic videos to manipulate and exploit them for sexual purposes.
The case was brought to light when Norris admitted to carrying out seven counts of indecent assault at Preston Crown Court last month.
The charges included six counts involving the same victim and one additional count involving a second boy.
Both of these youths were not related to Norris but had visited his home during the 1970s, a period during which the abuse took place.
Details of Norris’s criminal history reveal that he was previously convicted in November 1995, when he received a three-year prison sentence for two separate incidents of assault and another sexual act.

Following his recent conviction, Norris was not only sentenced to serve two years behind bars but also placed under a Sexual Offences Prevention Order.
This order restricts his activities and access to children, aiming to prevent any further offenses.
Additionally, Norris was disqualified from working with children in any capacity.
