GRAHAM HANSON FROM SOUTH SHIELDS SENTENCED TO 3 YEARS FOR PAST SEXUAL ABUSE ON YOUNG BOYS
A man from South Shields, Graham Hanson, has been sentenced to three years in prison following his conviction for a series of sexual assaults committed against young boys during the 1970s.Hanson, aged 53, who had been employed as a street cleaner for over twenty years in the South Shields area, was revealed to have a troubling history as a predatory sex offender, with his victims finally breaking a silence that had lasted for four decades.
During the court proceedings, it was disclosed that Hanson, a resident of Hebburn, had admitted to committing six counts of indecent assault.
These assaults took place when Hanson was between the ages of 13 and 18, and the victims ranged as young as four years old.
The court heard harrowing details of the abuse, which had previously been dismissed as isolated incidents at the time they occurred.
However, the court emphasized that Hanson’s actions were part of a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior.
