GRAHAM FISHER'S HORRIFIC ABUSE IN BLACKPOOL AND ROCHDALE: A LIFE OF CRIME EXPOSED
Update 27/06/2026: Graham Fisher 84, has died while serving his 17 year prison sentence. He was convicted of rape, attempted rape and sexual assault after two young women came forward to say he had abused them as teenagers in Blackpool 30 years ago.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… In a case that has spanned decades and shocked the local communities, Graham Fisher, a 79-year-old man from Blackpool, has been convicted of a series of heinous sexual offenses that began in Rochdale and continued in Blackpool.
The disturbing history of abuse reveals that Fisher started assaulting a young girl in Rochdale when she was only four years old, a trauma that would haunt her for years to come.
Over a period of six years during the 1960s, Fisher subjected his young victim to multiple acts of sexual abuse, leaving her and her family devastated.
The trauma inflicted on her was compounded by the fact that she was so young and vulnerable, making her suffering all the more tragic.
It was only after many years that she found the courage to come forward and report the abuse to the authorities, a decision that ultimately led to Fisher’s arrest and prosecution.
In addition to his crimes in Rochdale, Fisher’s predatory behaviour extended into Blackpool during the 1970s, where he also abused two teenage girls.
These assaults further exemplify his pattern of exploiting vulnerable individuals for his own depraved satisfaction.
The victims in Blackpool were similarly left devastated by his actions, and their courage in speaking out was instrumental in bringing him to justice.
Fisher was detained in May 2017, and during the subsequent trial at Preston Crown Court, he maintained his innocence, claiming that the victims had colluded against him.
Despite his denial, the evidence presented was overwhelming.
After a week-long trial, the jury found Fisher guilty of 11 counts of indecent assault, one count of rape, and one count of attempted rape.
His crimes were deemed so severe that he was sentenced to 17 years in prison and was also ordered to be placed on the sex offenders register for life.
