GRAEME HICKS BUSTED IN BRAINTREE FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT AND INDECENT EXPOSURE ON BUS

In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the Braintree community, a man identified as Graeme Hicks has been found guilty of committing indecent exposure and engaging in sexual assault against passengers aboard a public bus. The incident unfolded on the afternoon of December 27, when Essex Police officers responded swiftly to reports of a man behaving inappropriately on a vehicle traveling along Coggeshall Road in Braintree.

According to police reports, officers boarded the bus shortly before 17:30 GMT after receiving multiple calls from concerned witnesses and passengers. The reports detailed a man who was exposing himself and subjecting unsuspecting travelers to sexual assault. The quick response by law enforcement led to the apprehension of Hicks, who was later identified as the suspect involved in these serious allegations.

Graeme Hicks, aged 32 and residing on Old Chapel Drive in Stanway, was subsequently taken into custody. During the investigation, Hicks admitted to committing sexual assault and indecent exposure. Additionally, he confessed to three counts of assault by beating against emergency workers who responded to the scene. It was also revealed that Hicks was in possession of cannabis at the time of his arrest.

The case is scheduled for sentencing at Chelmsford Crown Court on January 27. Essex Detective Inspector Andy Drake commented on the case, stating, "As this investigation progressed quickly, it became increasingly possible that Hicks's offending is not restricted to this incident."
