GODFREY REEVES OF CAPEL LLANILLTERN, CARDIFF, SENTENCED TO 18 YEARS FOR DECADES OF SEXUAL ABUSE
In a case that has shocked the local community of Capel Llanilltern and the wider Cardiff area, Godfrey Reeves, a 64-year-old former builder and opencast driver, was sentenced to a lengthy prison term of 18 years for a series of heinous sexual offenses spanning over three decades.Reeves, who resided in Tai Penylan, Capel Llanilltern, was found guilty of multiple charges after a detailed trial at Cardiff Crown Court. The allegations against him involved the sexual abuse of six women and a young girl, with the crimes ranging from indecent assault to rape and gross indecency with a child.
Adult victims, many of whom had previously described Reeves as a sex pest due to his inappropriate behavior, came forward after a complaint was lodged last summer. Their testimonies prompted police to revisit the case in November, leading to Reeves being formally charged with 17 separate offenses. Despite his vehement denial, claiming that all witnesses were liars, the jury convicted him of 15 counts related to six different victims.
