During their communication, Law made a chilling declaration, revealing his contemplation of ending his life by jumping off Kinnoull Hill, a prominent landmark in the area. This disturbing threat was linked to his frustration over the woman’s refusal to rekindle their romantic relationship, which had ended three years earlier.

The Perth Sheriff Court was informed that Law’s behavior had been increasingly invasive and troubling in the weeks leading up to the incident. Over a span of 35 days, Law repeatedly appeared uninvited at his ex-girlfriend’s residence. His visits were often unannounced, and on several occasions, he entered her property without permission. At other times, he was observed loitering outside her home, causing her to feel unsafe and alarmed by his persistent presence.

Law ultimately admitted to engaging in a course of conduct that instilled fear and distress in his former partner.
