DUNDEE MAN SENTENCED TO 16 MONTHS FOR VIOLENT HOUSE RAID WHERE HE ATTACKED HIS EX PARTNER AND HER FAMILY
George Scott, a 33-year-old man, committed a violent house invasion in the Ardler area of Dundee in January. He forcibly entered a family’s home where a shielding family, including a child and a frail pensioner, was present, and he subjected them to a terrifying attack.
During the incident, Scott was heard screaming: “I want my dog, get my dog,” before violently pushing an 11-year-old girl and an 82-year-old woman.
He pressed his face close to his ex-partner and pushed her, grabbed Casper, her Staffordshire bull terrier, by the neck, and assaulted others in the house.
Scott was subsequently found by police and traced shortly after the attack.
When questioned, he made several inflammatory comments to officers, including: “Who the f*** do you serve?
I am a political prisoner.
F*** off, no comment.
C****.” Scott admitted to assaulting five individuals, robbing the family of the dog, and struggling with his ex-partner.
Due to the ongoing dispute over dog ownership, he flew into a rage and violently attacked the family.
He was convicted and sentenced by Sheriff Alastair Carmichael to 16 months in prison for his actions and is presently incarcerated at HMP Perth.
