DUNDEE PAEDOPHILE CAUGHT WITH DECADE-OLD IMAGES AND VIDEOS
2025-12-09 12:37: An audit of digital storage devices revealed that a Dundee man had been concealing material involving child sexual abuse for over a decade.George McDade faced Dundee Sheriff Court, where he pleaded guilty to possession, production, and distribution of disturbing images of minors.
Police searched his former address in Blacklock Crescent on December 6 of the previous year.
From this operation, they recovered a mobile phone, three external hard drives, and a computer tower.
The mobile phone contained 85 distressing images indicative of abuse.
On the first hard drive, authorities found 174 illegal images and two videos, with some data originally downloaded in July 2012.
The second hard drive revealed 1,759 images and 48 videos, some dating back to April 2014.
The third hard drive included 1,526 images and five additional illegal clips, with creation dates in the year 2015.

A Dundee paedophile had been flying under the radar for more than a decade, with hard-drive checks revealing a total of 85 twisted images.
The files depicted girls between the ages of 11 and 14, with hundreds categorized as the most graphic, including videos of grown men raping children.
McDade appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court and admitted taking or making and possessing vile images of children being sexually abused.
Sheriff Tim Niven-Smith told McDade: “Those that are Category A involve sexual penetration.
In other words, they are videos of grown men raping children.
They are created because there is a demand and you are involved in that demand.
The court does view these matters as serious.” Now living at a different address in the street, McDade was placed on the sex offenders register.
He will be sentenced in the new year after being interviewed by social workers.
