GEORGE ANDERSON EXPOSED: PAEDOPHILE DRIVEN OUT OF CONSETT, GOSFORTH, AND HAMSTERLEY

In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through multiple communities, George Anderson, a 56-year-old man with a troubling past, has been forced to leave his residence following the discovery of his criminal history and suspicious activities in the area. Anderson, who previously resided near Newcastle, was convicted of abusing three young boys aged 12 and 13, all of whom attended Bible classes he organized at a youth club close to his former home.

His criminal actions came to light after his conviction, which resulted in an 18-month prison sentence. Upon release, Anderson attempted to rebuild his life by settling in Hamsterley, a village near Ebchester and within the jurisdiction of County Durham. Despite his efforts to establish a new life, his past soon caught up with him.

While working as a paperboy in Hamsterley, Anderson was recognized by a former neighbor from Newcastle, who promptly alerted local parents. This tip-off ignited a swift community response, with parents organizing a petition demanding that Anderson leave the village. The community's outrage culminated in a mob action when Anderson finally packed his belongings to depart. As he left, residents pelted him with eggs and showered him with curry powder in their anger and disgust.

The house Anderson occupied, which was owned by the local council, has since been boarded up to prevent further intrusion. Anderson has expressed his desire to find a new residence where he can live anonymously, but the community's reaction has made this difficult.

A local mother of two, aged 23 and residing in Hamsterley, voiced her concerns: “Not only was he living in the middle of an estate full of youngsters, but he was delivering papers, which brought him into contact with them. He was doing his round at a time when dozens of children were on their way to school. The minute I found out, I started walking with my children to and from school and making sure they didn’t play out.”

Anderson, speaking last night, lamented his situation: “I only came here to live in peace and quiet but now I must find somewhere else.”

Meanwhile, the owner of Derwent House News, the company that employed Anderson as a paperboy, defended his brief employment period, stating, “He has only worked for us for a couple of weeks and all the customers have been satisfied with him. Papers arrived on time, he was smart, articulate, and a gentleman, but he said he wanted to spend more time with his parents and no longer works here.”

It is important to note that Anderson was a respected member of the Christian Brethren community, responsible for maintaining activities at Edgefield Gospel Hall in Gosforth, Newcastle. He also volunteered to help run youth club sessions and Bible reading classes. However, his criminal record includes a guilty plea on February 17, 1999, at Newcastle Crown Court, where he admitted to three charges of indecently assaulting boys aged 12 and 13, raising serious concerns about his presence in these communities.
