MAN JAILED FOR STALKING THREE WOMEN
A man aged 76 has received a prison sentence of six years, with three years to be served behind bars, after being found guilty of stalking-related crimes.Geoffrey Lower, residing at Stanmer Villas in Brighton, instilled fear in three women through various actions, including sending numerous graphic messages, leaving voicemails, and making unannounced visits to their homes during the period from March to December 2025.
In police interviews, Lower explained that he believed the women—aged 24, 35, and 51—were interested in developing a romantic relationship with him.
Several of his victims were women employed by agencies assigned to support him following previous stalking incidents.
One victim was compelled to work remotely after expressing fears that Lower would appear at her workplace.
The incidents were reported to Sussex Police, leading to Lower's arrest and subsequent charging with three counts of stalking that caused significant alarm or distress.
All three women received support from specialized officers throughout the case.
Lower pled guilty to all charges at Lewes Crown Court.
On 27 May, he was sentenced to six years in prison, issued with a 10-year restraining order against two of the victims, and placed under a Stalking Protection Order in addition to his custodial sentence.
