GARY BINNS FROM OVENDEN CAUGHT IN CHILD PORN SCANDAL AT BRADFORD CROWN COURT
In a case that has drawn significant attention, a man from Halifax, identified as Gary Binns, aged 24, residing on Ovenden Road in Ovenden, has admitted to possessing indecent images of children.The incident came to light during proceedings at Bradford Crown Court, where Binns faced multiple charges related to child pornography.
Prosecutor Jonathan Devlin outlined that Binns had been involved in attempting to access adult pornography online when he inadvertently encountered images of a child sexual nature.
Devlin clarified that the images in question were not highly explicit, suggesting that Binns' intent may not have been malicious but rather a mistake during his online activity.
As a result of his guilty plea, Binns was given a conditional discharge for a period of 12 months.
Additionally, his name will be entered into the Sex Offender Register for a duration of one year, marking a serious legal consequence for his actions.
It is noteworthy that Binns was initially scheduled to face trial on two separate charges of rape; however, these charges were ultimately withdrawn by the prosecution due to insufficient evidence to proceed.
