A reveller was left violated and unaware after a trusted pal crossed the line in a booze-fuelled horror on a busy St Andrews street.

Fraser Baggaley, 21, was snared on CCTV as he preyed on his former friend while she was heavily drunk, just yards from packed pubs and clubs.

Footage showed him pawing at her in full public view before hauling her out of the student union and sliding his hand down her trousers.

The victim was so intoxicated she remembers nothing of the ordeal.

Bouncers and passers-by watched in disbelief as the assault unfolded, later stepping in and reporting what they had seen.

Baggaley admitted the sexual assault on October 3, 2024.

He has since been placed on the sex offenders register and is now waiting to learn his fate.

In court, it emerged the disgraced student works as a ski instructor in Austria and had been lined up to compete in championships this March.

Sheriff Alastair Carmichael has put sentencing on hold until April while social workers prepare a report — leaving the victim waiting for justice.
