FRANKIE MANN'S HORRIFIC CRIME IN CORNWALL: MAN JAILED FOR RAPE ON NIGHT OUT IN ST AUSTELL
A man named Frankie Mann has been sentenced to nine years in prison after committing a brutal sexual assault on a woman during a night out in Cornwall.The incident took place in the town of St Austell, where Mann, aged 27 and residing on Bridge Road, was riding his moped on the evening of May 28.
According to reports, Mann noticed a woman who was searching for her lost house keys and mobile phone, and he approached her under the pretense of offering assistance.
Initially, Mann appeared to be helpful, even wrapping his jacket around her to keep her warm as she looked for her belongings.
However, his intentions quickly turned sinister.
He then proceeded to pull her to the ground and commit a sexual assault, raping her while she was vulnerable and frightened.
The court heard that Mann's actions were predatory and calculated.
During the hearing at Truro Crown Court in September, Mann admitted to the offence and was subsequently sentenced to nine years in prison, with an additional three years on licence.
The court was informed of the details surrounding the attack, including CCTV footage that captured Mann waiting for the woman as she walked along Alexandra Road.
