FOOTBALLER FISAYO ADARABIOYO CONVICTED OF HARASSMENT FOLLOWING PREGNANCY-RELATED THREATS
A woman has spoken of her distress after her footballer ex-boyfriend, Fisayo Adarabioyo, who previously played for Crystal Palace, harassed her following her pregnancy revelation.
The victim described how she was shocked and frightened by his reaction, which included a text stating 'I genuinely hope you die.' Adarabioyo had shown up at her home in Knutsford, Cheshire, late at night, banging on her door and throwing gravel at her windows, demanding to be let in.
After leaving her property, he continued to intimidate her with numerous threatening texts, including messages like 'If you tell anyone I'll kill you' and 'Just kill yourself - everyone will be happier.' She contacted the police after Adarabioyo made 45 attempts to call her.
In a victim statement read to the court, she explained that the stress caused by his harassment led to her undergoing additional medical scans and a premature birth, which required an emergency C-section and two weeks in neonatal care for her daughter.
During the court proceedings, Adarabioyo was convicted of harassment without violence and sentenced to a 12-month community order, 100 hours of unpaid work, and ordered to pay her £200 in compensation, along with court costs of £640.
A 12-month restraining order was also issued preventing him from contacting or approaching her or her home.
Her decision to live alone and her desire for peace of mind led her to install a Ring doorbell on her address.
