SHEFFIELD MAN FAZAN BAHDER JAILED FOR 21 YEARS FOR TWO RAPES AND DRUG OFFENCES
A Sheffield man who supplied a teenager with drugs and raped her has been sentenced to over 20 years in prison.
Fazan Bahder, 34, of Erskine Crescent, Heeley, raped his first victim, aged 17 at the time, after meeting her at an off-licence.
He gave the girl drugs, before raping her.
The teenage victim managed to escape and flagged down two police officers on patrol to report the assault.
South Yorkshire Police have reaffirmed their commitment to fighting sexual violence following Bahder's conviction.
Bahder also met his second victim, invited her to his house, where he assaulted her by punching and attempting to strangle her.
He then threatened to stab her before raping her.
The victim left the premises and stopped a police patrol, who then took her to hospital.
Bahder was arrested in October 2020 and initially denied the charges but was later convicted of two counts of rape, one oral rape, sexual assault by penetration, and possession of drugs with intent to supply.
Following a 10-day trial at Sheffield Crown Court, he was found guilty of all charges and sentenced to 21 years in prison.
