ETHAN GRAHAM SENTENCED IN STIRLING FOR CONTROLLING AND ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR

Ethan Graham, a 22-year-old man from Stirling, has been formally sentenced in connection with a series of controlling and abusive actions directed towards a woman in the Stirling area. The incidents took place over an extended period, beginning in June 2021 and continuing until February 2022.

On Tuesday, 13 August 2024, Graham was found guilty of these serious charges and was subsequently handed a prison sentence of two years at the High Court located in Kilmarnock. The court's decision underscores the severity of his actions and the importance of addressing such behavior within society.

Detective Constable Ashley Willett, who was involved in the case, publicly commented on the conviction, stating, “Graham showed he was a controlling and violent man who abused the woman physically and sexually. There is no place for this kind of crime in our society and he will now face the consequences of his actions.”

She further expressed her hope that the victim, who demonstrated remarkable bravery in coming forward, can now begin to rebuild her life. Detective Willett emphasized the importance of encouraging others to report similar crimes, regardless of when they occurred, to ensure justice is served and victims receive the support they need.

“Any reports of physical and sexual abuse made to us are taken very seriously, and we will offer support from specially trained officers to those who get in touch.
