In Liverpool, a woman received a life prison term after stabbing her boyfriend to death during a domestic argument.
The incident occurred on April 10 when Gary Morgan, age 36, sustained a fatal chest wound at a house in Lavan Close, Everton, and succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities revealed that Morgan had been a victim of domestic abuse.
Emma Walsh, 31, also of Lavan Close, was convicted of murder and ordered to serve at least 18 years behind bars during her trial at Liverpool Crown Court.
Commenting on the case, Detective Chief Inspector Mark Drew stated: 'This tragic event resulted in the death of a beloved man.' He went on to highlight: 'Domestic abuse is a multifaceted problem, taking various forms such as psychological, financial, sexual, emotional, and physical.
It can impact anyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or faith.' Morgan's family described him as 'a kind young man who brought joy to those around him.' They added: 'No one should feel afraid to report domestic violence.
Men are not weak for seeking help; it takes strength.'
