Crook was arrested twice, first on October 31, 2022, and then nearly a year later when he was found to be again accessing abusive images.
His legal case was heard in Carlisle Crown Court, where he admitted eleven offenses.
The judge sentenced Crook to a two-year suspended jail term, along with 25 days of rehabilitation, a sexual harm prevention order for ten years, and other monitoring conditions, emphasizing the need to address his underlying issues.
The judge highlighted Crook’s autism, social isolation, drug abuse history, and the severity of his crimes, stating that his deviant desires included wishing to kill children.
The court acknowledged his remorse but stressed the importance of public protection and provided this opportunity for Crook to seek help.
