    In June 2017, Edwin Russell Evans, 54, of Nant Y Gaer Road, Llay, near Wrexham, was sentenced to four years in prison after admitting to sexual assault charges involving a young girl. Evans appeared at Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to four counts of indecency with a child. The court heard that the offenses took place over a two-year period from 1995 to 1997, beginning when the girl was just 11 years old. Additionally, Evans was informed that he must register as a sex offender for life.
