EDWARD PARKER SENT TO PRISON FOR PREGNANT 14-YEAR-OLD IN SLEAFORD

In a case that has shocked the community of Sleaford, Lincoln Crown Court has sentenced Edward Parker to 30 months in prison after he was found guilty of engaging in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl, which resulted in her becoming pregnant. The incident has raised serious concerns about safeguarding and the exploitation of minors within the area.

According to court proceedings, Parker, a resident of Jubilee Grove in Sleaford, initiated a relationship with the young girl shortly after his partner had given birth to their own child. The relationship was characterized by multiple instances of sexual activity, which took place in Parker’s parents’ car. Prosecutor Phil Howes detailed that Parker had taken the girl out for car rides during which these encounters occurred, and emphasized that Parker was fully aware of her age at the time.

Mr. Howes explained that the illicit relationship remained undiscovered for some time, with no suspicion from those around Parker. The truth came to light in February 2012 when the girl visited her doctor complaining of stomach pain. It was during this medical consultation that it was revealed she was approximately 11 or 12 weeks pregnant. The girl explicitly identified Parker as the father of her unborn child.

Following the discovery, the girl gave birth to a baby, and subsequent paternity testing confirmed Parker’s biological connection to the child. During police interviews, the girl reportedly told officers, “He made a move and I just let him,” indicating her lack of agency in the situation. Parker, when questioned, admitted to the charges, claiming that the pregnancy was unintentional and that “one thing led to another,” adding, “The plan wasn’t to get her pregnant. I’m up the creek without a paddle.”

Parker pleaded guilty to two charges of sexual activity with a child, which covered three separate instances of sexual intercourse occurring between July 2011 and February 2012. His sentencing on Monday included a 30-month prison term, lifelong registration on the sex offenders’ register, and a ban from working with children in any capacity.

Judge Michael Heath addressed Parker directly, stating, “This girl trusted you and cared for you but for you it was just sex.” The case has left a lasting impact on the community of Sleaford, highlighting the importance of vigilance and protection for vulnerable minors.
