COVENTRY MAN JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT AFTER ATTACK IN SPON END
A Coventry man named Edward Kallon has been sentenced to over 11 years in prison following a serious sexual assault. Kallon, aged 44, attacked a woman in Spon End, Coventry last year. The incident was interrupted when a neighbor inside the property heard the commotion and came to the woman's aid, allowing her to escape to safety. Despite Kallon denying all charges during police interview, the brave victim cooperated with authorities to build a case against him. Following a trial at Warwick Crown Court, Kallon was convicted and sentenced to 11 years in prison. A Coventry Police spokesperson stated: "Kallon invited the woman into his house. Kallon told the woman he wanted to have sex with her. Despite the woman saying no, Kallon raped her. The neighbor, who was inside the property, heard what was going on and intervened, helping the woman to safety." The police emphasized their commitment to investigating all reports of sexual offences, encouraging victims to come forward regardless of when the incident happened.
