AN ALREADY CONVICTED SEX PREDATOR WHO VIOLENTLY BEAT AND RAPED A TEENAGER DURING A TERRIFYING ORDEAL HAS BEEN DEEMED A DANGER TO SOCIETY.

A man previously convicted of sexual offenses, who physically assaulted and sexually assaulted a teenage victim during a harrowing encounter, has been classified as a societal threat.

Edgar Casandra, aged 23, was given a prison sentence exceeding 11 years after being convicted for assaulting and raping a teenager in November 2023.

He was already subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) due to previous sexual conduct with a minor when he committed the assault.

During an argument, Casandra attacked the girl violently, strangling her, punching her multiple times, slapping her, and forcing himself upon her despite her vocal protests and clear lack of consent.

The attack lasted for an extended period while he was residing at Boggart Hill Drive in Seacroft.

Leeds Crown Court noted that his conduct was “manipulative and predatory” and emphasized his blatant disregard for prior court orders.

He was sentenced to over eight years in prison, with an additional three years on license, and a lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Additionally, Casandra was ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
