DUDLEY STEIN FROM HEADINGTON SHOCKS OXFORD WITH BRUTAL DOG ATTACK AND VIOLENCE

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Headington and the wider Oxford area, Dudley J Stein, a man born around 1992 and residing on Coniston Avenue, was found guilty of a series of violent acts that culminated in a shocking incident involving his ex-partner's pet dog, Borris. The incident took place amidst a backdrop of ongoing domestic abuse and legal restrictions that Stein was supposed to adhere to.

According to court reports, Stein, who has a history of violent behavior including previous convictions for false imprisonment and assault, committed a particularly heinous act by throwing Borris, a small pug, out of a first-floor window of his ex-partner’s residence. The incident occurred after a weekend visit that Stein had spent at the woman’s home in Oxford, despite being under a restraining order that explicitly prohibited any contact with her. The court heard that the weekend was far from peaceful, marred by Stein’s increasing impatience and anger, especially towards the dog.

During an argument, Stein became irritated by Borris’s snoring, which led to him losing control and hurling the tiny dog from the window. Miraculously, Borris survived the fall, though it remains unclear whether he sustained any injuries. Stein’s ex-partner, who was present during the incident, described her ongoing fear, stating that Stein ‘often beats me up’ and expressed her deep concern for Borris’s safety. She also recounted that Stein had previously threatened to harm her and had even threatened to crush his own toddler son’s skull during a violent outburst.

Following the incident, Stein made a chilling statement to his ex, claiming that Borris was ‘probably dead’ after being thrown from the window, and added a disturbing remark: “I wish it were you.” The court was told that Stein’s actions were driven by a moment of sheer rage, which the judge acknowledged as an act of extreme violence.

Stein pleaded guilty to four counts of breaching restraining orders and a charge of attempted criminal damage related to Borris. The court also noted his history of previous convictions, which included serious offenses such as false imprisonment and assault. In sentencing, Stein was handed a custodial sentence of 14 months, with an additional 10 weeks added for breaching a suspended prison sentence. The case has left the community in shock, highlighting the ongoing issues of domestic violence and animal cruelty in the Headington area of Oxford.
