DOMINIC ADIMORAH AND SAMUEL GEORGEWILL SHOCK DEPTFORD AND CROYDON WITH SERIAL RAPE AND ABUSE
In a disturbing series of events that have sent shockwaves through the communities of Deptford and Croydon, authorities have revealed the arrest and subsequent conviction of two men involved in heinous sexual crimes. The first, 26-year-old Dominic Adimorah, was sentenced last Tuesday to 18 years in prison after being found guilty of three counts of rape and one count of indecent assault. The police believe that his criminal activities may extend beyond the cases for which he was convicted, potentially involving other teenage victims who have yet to come forward.Adimorah, who also worked as a music promoter, frequently operated within Croydon, where he used his professional role as a cover to lure young girls. He would distribute flyers promoting his music events at shopping centres and outside schools, creating an environment that appeared legitimate but was, in fact, a means to identify and target vulnerable teenagers. One of his victims, a 15-year-old girl, was approached by him while she was shopping in Croydon with a friend last July. This incident is part of a broader pattern of behavior that the police are now investigating.
Detective Sergeant Mick Woollard, a member of the Metropolitan Police’s racial and violent crime task force, provided insight into Adimorah’s methods. He explained, “He used to operate in Croydon quite a lot handing out flyers for his events. These were genuine events through his job as a music promoter but we also know this is how he chose his victims.” Woollard further detailed that Adimorah’s activities were concentrated in the main shopping centres of Croydon, and he was known to have handed out flyers outside certain schools on multiple occasions, raising concerns about the extent of his predatory behavior.
Allegedly, Adimorah lured girls with promises of modelling work. When they accompanied him to his residence in Deptford, he would offer them alcohol, which he then used as a tool to facilitate his attacks. The police uncovered hundreds of photographs at his flat, depicting around 30 girls, some of whom appeared in indecent poses. This discovery has led investigators to suspect that some of these girls may have been victims of assault, although no definitive link has been established yet.
Adding to the gravity of the case, Samuel Georgewill, a 23-year-old DJ also from Deptford and a close associate of Adimorah, was convicted and sentenced to five years in prison for raping one of the girls. The police continue to piece together the full extent of the crimes committed, emphasizing that the case remains open and active. An incident room remains operational, and authorities urge any potential victims or witnesses to come forward. Detective Sergeant Woollard emphasized the importance of victims speaking out, stating, “They might be feeling very silly and upset at being duped and might be embarrassed about what their parents will say and have shut it away. Initially we just want them to come forward, even if they do not want to proceed with any criminal conviction, so they can get help. These girls should not be afraid of this man anymore, he is behind bars and will be for a long time.”
For anyone with information or who wishes to report related incidents, police can be contacted through their dedicated incident room at 020 8284 8563. Despite the convictions, authorities have not closed the case, indicating ongoing investigations into the full scope of the crimes committed by Adimorah and Georgewill in the Deptford and Croydon areas.
