ST AUSTELL MAN GUILTY OF SERIOUS SEX OFFENCES AGAINST GIRL UNDER 13

DESMOND ROGERS, 79, of Bridge Road, St Austell was found guilty at Truro Crown Court of raping a girl aged under 13 and numerous charges of sexually assaulting a girl aged under 13.

He pleaded guilty to further sexual assault charges.

He was remanded in custody and his next hearing will be on 19 September when he will be sentenced.
