DEREK BEARDMORE FROM ROCHDALE JAILED INDEFINITELY AFTER TATTOO HELPED IDENTIFY HIM IN CHILD ABUSE CASES

In a chilling case that has shocked the community of Rochdale and beyond, Derek Beardmore, aged 29, has been sentenced to an indefinite term of imprisonment after a series of disturbing crimes involving child abuse images and sexual assault. The case came to light when police identified him through a distinctive tattoo on his hand, which appeared in online images of abuse.

According to court proceedings at Bolton Crown Court, photographs depicting Beardmore abusing a young girl surfaced on an international website. These images clearly showed his hands with a unique Indian ink dot tattoo, which proved crucial in linking him to the crimes. The investigation revealed that Beardmore, a security guard by profession, had been involved in a disturbing online activity that included sharing and possessing indecent images of children.

Beardmore admitted to 13 counts of taking indecent photographs of a child and two counts of sexual assault on a minor.
