DEAN WILKINS ADMITTED ASSAULT IN LINCOLN AFTER ROUGH SEX SESSION ENDS WITH TINDER DATE FLEEING IN BRA

An electrician from Lincoln has pleaded guilty to assault after a violent encounter reminiscent of Fifty Shades of Grey left his Tinder date running onto the street in only a bra.

Dean Wilkins, 36, admitted to slapping 33-year-old Lucy Archer in the face but claimed that their relationship involved consensual rough sex, which they often engaged in after meeting online two months prior.

A judge was shown video recordings where the couple had recorded themselves inflicting physical violence on each other, including firm slaps and punches. They also confessed to tying each other up with ropes and using the safety word 'egg timer' when actions became too intense.

It was alleged that Wilkins attacked Ms. Archer violently after they returned to his flat following a night out where both had consumed cocaine and alcohol. Neighbours called police when Ms. Archer ran outside into the street with only her bra on.

She sustained injuries including a bloodied nose, swollen left cheek, red marks around her neck, hair pulled from her scalp, and a minor shoulder dislocation that required rest.

After hearing evidence from both parties, Judge Andrew Easteal noted that some of Ms. Archer's injuries did not match the injuries shown in the videos, nor were they consistent with acts inflicted with her consent. However, the judge acknowledged that Wilkins might have genuinely believed it was all part of role play until he realized otherwise outside the flat.

Lincoln Crown Court was told that just five days before the incident, Wilkins received a message from Ms. Archer asking to be kidnapped and tied to a tree.

On the night of the assault, Wilkins admitted that he caused Ms. Archer to bleed from her nose with a slap after returning to his flat. He claimed he thought this was part of their role play when she ran outside half-naked.

Afterward, he returned home, climbing out of a bedroom window after his girlfriend told him, 'this isn't role play.' Later that night, Wilkins sent two messages to Ms. Archer while hiding in a bush, expressing remorse and asking if she was okay.

Wilkins subsequently handed himself in to police but denied allegations that he repeatedly punched Ms. Archer and pulled her hair inside his flat.

The court was asked to determine which version of events was credible, as Wilkins faced a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm, admitted on May 28 this year.

Under England's legal standards, it is illegal to consent to serious assault.

Prior to his verdict, Judge Easteal highlighted inconsistencies in both accounts and described the truth as 'hard to navigate.' He noted that Wilkins's explanation might seem implausible at first glance but considered Ms. Archer's failure to use the safety word, her previous kidnapping fantasy, and footage where she appeared disappointed about a visitor not being invited as relevant points.

However, the judge also found that the injuries to her hair and dislocated shoulder did not align with their usual activities portrayed in videos or with consensual acts.

Wilkins was granted conditional bail to prepare a probation report, with Judge Easteal stating, 'An immediate prison sentence will not be the appropriate course.' He emphasized personal responsibility, saying, 'You are a grown man, what consenting adults do in private is their own business. But you are responsible for yourself and those you engage with.'

Currently residing in Sleaford, Wilkins was released on bail with the condition that he does not contact Ms. Archer or approach within 5 meters of her workplace. His sentencing is scheduled for December 20.
