WORCESTERSHIRE PERVERT JAILED FOR 23 YEARS FOR HEINOUS CHILD SEX CRIMES
A man named David Wheatcroft has received a 23-year prison sentence after being convicted of child sexual offences involving three girls over more than two decades.Wheatcroft raped one girl on at least six occasions, starting when she was only six years old.
The incidents occurred at various locations, including areas near Worcester, Kidderminster, and Evesham.
During the court proceedings, emotional testimonies from the victims were read out.
The 45-year-old Wheatcroft was found guilty unanimously by a jury and was sentenced by Judge Nicolas Cartwright.
His sentence comprises 22 years in prison plus an additional year on licence, totaling 23 years.
He must serve a minimum of two-thirds of his sentence—more than 14 years—to be eligible for parole.
The judge highlighted Wheatcroft’s longstanding sexual interest in young girls and emphasized the profound psychological impact on the victims.
Wheatcroft also threatened violence against the victims’ families if they reported his crimes.
As part of his sentence, he was issued a lifelong sexual harm prevention order, forbidding him from having unsupervised contact with children under 16 unless explicitly permitted.
Victims attended the hearing, with one expressing relief that Wheatcroft would not be able to harm others again.
