FORMER POLICE OFFICER JAILED FOR 12 YEARS AFTER BEING CONVICTED OF RAPE AND SEXUAL ACTIVITY WITH UNDERAGE GIRLS
2019.A former police officer from Stockton had been jailed for twelve years after being convicted of nine sex offences, including rape.
David Waller, who is 34-years-old, was a police officer with the Cleveland force between 2006 and 2010.
The offences took place between 2004 and 2015 and involved girls as young as 13 and 14.
Waller was found not guilty of one charge of sexual assault.
He was previously cleared of two other rape charges after the judge directed jurors to formerly acquit him.
Waller met many of his victims through his role as a flight instructor and his involvement in various theatre groups.
8 of the charges he faces include grooming or inciting young teenage girls for sexual activity.
