CHILD SEX OFFENCE AND 'UPSKIRTING' OFFENCES HAVE BEEN ADMITTED BY A WIGAN MAN

A 47-year-old man from Wigan has pleaded guilty to multiple child sexual offences and an incident of 'upskirting.' David Smalley, who resides on Walthew Lane in Platt Bridge, appeared before local magistrates to admit to two counts of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl during February 2025.

He also acknowledged possessing indecent images of children classified as categories A, B, and C on January 1 this year.

Additionally, Smalley admitted to taking photographs under clothing on dates between April 4 and May 11, 2025.

He was granted conditional bail until his sentencing hearing, which is scheduled to take place in Bolton on July 9.
