OLD KILPATICK PAEDOPHILE DAVID SIM SENTENCED AFTER GLASGOW MCDONALD'S INCIDENT AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY FINDINGS

In a case that has shocked the community of Old Kilpatrick and the wider Glasgow area, David Sim, aged 43, has been sentenced to serve over five years in prison following a series of disturbing offences involving a young girl and the possession of a large cache of child abuse images. The incident that brought Sim to justice occurred at a McDonald's restaurant located on Argyle Street in Glasgow, where he committed a heinous act against a three-year-old girl.

On April 29, 2004, the young girl, who was in the company of her mother, inadvertently wandered into the men's restroom of the fast-food outlet. It was during this moment that Sim, who was present at the scene, engaged in inappropriate behaviour. The child's mother, upon returning to the table, found her daughter visibly distressed and in a state of confusion. She also noticed that someone had been licking her child's hair, an act that caused immediate concern and alarm. The young girl, in her limited understanding, told her mother,
