MAN JAILED 40 YEARS AFTER SEXUALLY ASSAULTING GIRLS
A man responsible for sexually abusing two underage girls more than four decades ago has been sentenced to prison.David James, aged 66 and residing on Green Close in Dursley, Gloucestershire, admitted to eight counts of indecent assault.
The alleged offences involved two girls who were both under 16 at the time, taking place between March 1976 and March 1980.
On June 28, James received a prison sentence of six years and three months, along with an additional two-year extended license period, according to police reports.
Although the crimes occurred within Gloucestershire, the investigation was conducted by Hertfordshire Constabulary, the force that initially received the reports related to the allegations.
