DAVID ALLEN DAVIES FROM PONTYBEREM CONVICTED OF CHILD SEX ABUSE IN CARMARTHENSHIRE

A man known locally by several nicknames, including Dai Love, Dai Trout, and Dai Slick, has been found guilty of committing serious sexual offenses against two young girls over a period spanning nearly ten years. The individual in question, David Allen Davies, hails from the village of Pontyberem in Carmarthenshire, an area where his actions have now come to light through a detailed court process.

According to court proceedings, Davies began his pattern of abuse in the late 1960s, during his employment at the Cynheidre colliery situated in the Gwendraeth Valley. The victims, who were both under the age of 13 at the time, did not know each other but were subjected to his misconduct at different times. One of the girls was only seven years old when the abuse started, highlighting the disturbing nature of his crimes.

The case was heard at Swansea Crown Court, where it was revealed that the impact of Davies’s actions had been devastating for the victims. The court heard that the abuse inflicted on them had a
