DARREN JONES HAUNTED SOUTHPORT AND LIVERPOOL WITH HIS VILE CRIMES AGAINST A 12-YEAR-OLD GIRL

In a disturbing case that has shocked the communities of Southport and Liverpool, Darren Jones, aged 33, was sentenced to nearly five years in prison for heinous sexual offenses committed against a young girl.

The incident unfolded on February 11 this year, leaving parents and residents appalled by the brazen nature of his actions and the vulnerability of his young victim.

According to court proceedings, Jones-Bond was observed by an Uber delivery driver in the vicinity of St John’s Precinct in Liverpool city centre.

The driver initially believed the girl, who was sitting alone on a bench, to be Jones-Bond’s daughter.

However, what the driver witnessed next caused immediate concern.

The defendant was seen engaging in an intimate kiss with the 12-year-old girl, asking her what she planned to wear and commenting on her scent.

The girl mentioned needing hair extensions, to which Jones-Bond responded that he would get her some, indicating a disturbing level of familiarity and grooming behavior.

Following this, Jones-Bond took the girl to a nearby McDonald’s restaurant, where he continued to behave inappropriately.

CCTV footage from the fast-food outlet captured the pair entering together around 11:30 pm.

The police were alerted after the driver’s report, and officers quickly responded to the scene.

They traced the girl to a hostel, where she was found lying on a bed with her top on back to front and her trousers unzipped, suggesting she had been subjected to sexual assault.

Further investigation revealed that the girl and Jones-Bond had been staying at the Liverpool Albert Dock Youth Hostel.

CCTV footage showed them arriving at the hostel around 10:14 pm, paying for a room at the reception.

The footage also depicted them visiting a bar within the hostel, where the girl took a bottle of alcohol and they subsequently returned to their room.

The pair left and returned multiple times throughout the night, with police discovering evidence of alcohol consumption and a disheveled bed upon entering the room.

Jones-Bond’s arrest was met with resistance; he was aggressive and had to be restrained by officers.

The girl was also restrained as she attempted to flee.

During questioning, Jones-Bond claimed he did not know the girl prior to that night and denied any sexual misconduct, asserting that she had told him she was 24.

However, the evidence and the victim’s account painted a different picture.

The young girl, who has a daughter of her own, described the incident as something that “plays on her mind every day.” She expressed feelings of vulnerability, upset, and fear of going out alone, highlighting the lasting emotional impact of the trauma she endured.

Jones-Bond, who has a lengthy criminal record with 28 convictions for 39 offences—primarily related to violence and driving—faced serious charges.

Although he had no prior sexual offences, his history of violent behavior and public order offences contributed to the severity of his sentencing.

At Liverpool Crown Court, Judge Anil Murray sentenced Jones-Bond to four years and nine months in prison.

The court also ordered him to sign the Sex Offenders Register and to adhere to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, emphasizing the ongoing risk he poses to the community.

The judge acknowledged the defendant’s “bad record” and the clear vulnerability of the victim, as well as the fact that a witness, an Uber driver, believed the girl to be around 13 years old.

This case has left a lasting scar on the community, raising concerns about the safety of minors and the importance of vigilance in public spaces.

The authorities continue to emphasize the need for awareness and protective measures to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
