CONVICTED RAPIST ON THE RUN AFTER BREACHING PAROLE CONDITIONS IN MANCHESTER
A convicted sex offender named Darren Craig Teasdale from Levenshulme is currently at large after breaching the conditions of his licence.
Police have issued a warning to the public not to approach him and are asking for assistance in locating him.
Teasdale, aged 33, had been released from prison after serving seven years for the crime of rape.
He was convicted in September 2008 for raping a woman, during which he assaulted his victim with a baseball bat and fists after taking drugs.
At the time, he was residing in South Shore, Blackpool.
Teasdale initially claimed that the sexual act was consensual but was later jailed and ordered to serve a minimum of 799 days in prison.
He was also placed on an indefinite sex offenders register and banned from working with children.
Despite his appeals, which failed, he was considered a dangerous offender and was only released after the Parole Board deemed it safe to do so last year.
Currently, he has moved address without informing police, which is a breach of his licence conditions.
Detectives from Greater Manchester are requesting assistance from the public who have seen him.
