DARREN BEAMENT FROM CHESHAM JAILED FOR VIOLATING COURT ORDER AND THREATENING WOMAN
A man from Chesham who persistently threatened a woman in her 40s has been sentenced to prison for his actions. Darren Beament, aged 43 and residing at Waterside in Chesham, was subject to a non-molestation order that explicitly prohibited him from making any contact with the woman. Despite this legal restriction, Beament violated the court's directive on Sunday, August 27, by making multiple phone calls to the woman and issuing threats during these conversations.Following these incidents, police swiftly intervened. Beament was arrested the following day, Monday, August 28, and subsequently charged with breaching the non-molestation order. The case proceeded to court, where Beament appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday. During the hearing, he admitted to the breach and pleaded guilty to the charge.
As a result of his guilty plea, Beament was sentenced to six months in prison. Additionally, he was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154, a financial penalty intended to support victims of crime. The investigation into Beament’s conduct was led by PC George Ward, who emphasized the importance of enforcing court orders designed to protect victims. PC Ward stated, “Darren Beament has been held to account for his actions in breaching this non-molestation order, which was put in place to help ensure the victim’s safety. Thames Valley Police will always fully investigate any breaches of court orders and conditions and put offenders before the courts.”
