PONTYPOOL WOMAN BANNED FROM KEEPING CATS FOR FIVE YEARS
A woman has been banned from keeping cats for five years after she admitted an animal welfare offence over seven felines in her care.Danielle Crystin Jenkins, 34, of Lynton Court, Abersychan, Pontypool pleaded guilty to the offence at Gwent Magistrates’ Court.
She has accepted that she “failed to meet their needs for a suitable environment”.
Her offence took place on February 26 last year.
Jenkins was sentenced a 12-month community order.
The defendant must carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and a five-day rehabilitation activit requirement.
She must pay £514 in costs and a surcharge.
