A MAN who left a n eight-year-old Collie dog named Kiri blind in one eye when he burgled a home near Bromsgrove has been sent to jail for 22 months.

Daniel Senior, aged 21, of Wealdstone Drive, Dudley, pleaded guilty to burgling a home in Hanbury Road, Stoke Prior on Sunday, September 2, last year, as well as to possession of cannabis.

At Worcester Crown Court on Thursday, March 14, he was sentenced to 16 months for the burglary plus a further six months for the drugs charge, to run consecutively.
