DARLINGTON MAN SENTENCED FOR HARASSMENT AFTER REPEATEDLY VISITING BANNED ADDRESS
A Darlington man who repeatedly visited an address he was banned from has been sentenced for harassment.
Daniel Pearson, 23, of Harris Street, Darlington, admitted harassing a man by attending his home on four occasions between September 29 and October 5, despite knowing he was not allowed at the address.
Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court heard that Pearson’s actions caused alarm to the man.
Pearson pleaded guilty on October 6 and was sentenced on November 6.
He received a community order requiring him to complete 100 hours of unpaid work within 12 months and attend up to 20 rehabilitation activity days.
The court also imposed a restraining order until November 5, 2026, banning Pearson from contacting the person or entering his street.
Pearson was ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
The court took his guilty plea into account.
Payment will be collected by benefit deductions.
